Have you ever wanted to kitesurf at the picturesque Whitsunday Islands including the breathtaking Whitehaven Beach but were not sure how or when? Are you looking for a winter tropical kite escape or want to progress your kiting skills? With winds blowing from 15-25 knots predominantly in winter, we have put everything together to take you on this exhilarating kite adventure at the stunning Great Barrier Reef! With luxurious island resort accommodation, good vibes and a lot of kiting, this will guaranteed be an unforgettable life experience!

Surprise Locations

Everyday, we will take you to a surprise location and the day will be yours to kite and explore! These are all special locations and some protected such as Whitehaven Beach. Hence why, we have partnered with Aqua5 and Ocean Rafting who has a special permit that allow us to kite at Whitehaven Beach. With their their semi-rigid, super fast inflatable boats, we guarantee a fun, stable and fast ride!

Resort Accommodation

This tour includes accommodation at Palm Bay Resort, nestled on the neck of Long Island, one of the iconic islands of The Great Barrier Reef. Delicious and nutritious breakfast, lunch and dinner are included in this tour package. You will be treated to your own private secluded cove, with spacious Balinese inspired villas. What a dream!

You will have full access of the resort facilities for you to unwind after a hard day exploring and kiting. Be it sunset watching sipping on a nice cocktail, poolside dining, a massage at the Palm Blue Day Spa, or continue exploring around the island in a kayak or by foot.

Support

You will have 3 skilled, enthusiastic and fun instructors on hand to assist you with your progression and everything else you need at any time! We will also have an available support vessel.

About the Resort

At Palm Bay Resort each different room provides its own charm and feelings of tranquility, be it the ocean or the rainforest. All rooms have ensuite bathrooms and decks with a hammock for your ultimate relaxation after a full day of kiting!

If you are booking with friends or as a family let us know and we can book you all in the same room.

If you would like to book a room all to yourself there will be an extra fee.

Standard Shared Beachfront Bungalows

This is the standard room that comes with your booking if you are not worried about having a private bedroom.

King sized double that turn into king sized singles when sharing.

The Bungalows feature an expansive deck with a two person hammock and comfortable Balinese inspired outdoor furniture giving you plenty of space to relax and soak in your beachfront vista over Palm Bay Beach and the lagoon.
Bungalows also include a fully equipped kitchenette containing a bar fridge, microwave oven, stainless steel sink, toaster, kettle, coffee plunger, complimentary tea and coffee plus a good supply of crockery and cutlery.
Linen and towels are provided and housekeeping is available upon request.

Bure (boo-ray)

Bure (pronounced Boo-ray).

There are three types of Bure giving you the choice of the absolute beach frontage of the Beachfront Bure, the tranquility of the Serenity Bure which offers the calmness of being surrounded by natural foliage while still only a stones throw from the waters edge, or the privacy of our Hillside Bure with your own elevated views of Palm Bay lagoon and the surrounding rainforest from your own wrap around balcony.

Beachfront villa

Similar to the Bure only slightly smaller.

The Beachfront Villa is the perfect accommodation choice for couples looking for a relaxing, private beachfront getaway.

Neat and bright with a large queen size bed, dining table for two, occasional chair and ottoman, there is plenty of room to relax and a cosy deck with double hammock offers the perfect private escape for winding down and taking in your beautiful surroundings.

Beachfront Villas also offer a light and bright en-suite, air conditioning, ceiling fan, bar fridge, kettle, ironing board and steam iron and a small safe for your convenience.
All Palm Bay Villas include linen and towels, and for longer stays, housekeeping is available upon request.

Ocean view house

Couples or families can enjoy a luxurious two story, two bedroom house with a spacious lounge, two bathrooms, and ceiling fans. Linen and towels are provided and housekeeping is available upon request.

The lower level features one bedroom, bathroom, and private decking, while the upper level has one bedroom, lounge, bathroom, kitchen and full sized decking with BBQ facilities.

Elevated above a flight of stairs, everything you need is at your fingertips with a fully equipped kitchenette including full sized fridge, microwave oven, hot plates, stainless steel sink, cutlery and crockery, toaster, kettle, coffee plunger and complimentary tea and coffee.

The Ocean View House also offers air conditioning, an ironing board and steam iron and a small safe for your convenience. The house has a balcony on both levels, with decking furniture, perfect for soaking in the Whitsundays in privacy from above Palm Bay lagoon.

If you would like to bring your non-kiter partner or friend, that is totally fine too. We have plenty of other activities on offer, such as wing surfing, snorkeling, freediving, fishing, beautiful walks and hikes. Just let us know!

Hibiscus suite

Tucked away into the treetops are the beautiful Hibiscus Suites. Elevated and set slightly back from the ocean these beautiful rooms offer privacy and incredible ocean views. Hibiscus Suites are the perfect option for couples looking for tranquility and seclusion offering a private sun deck, additional balcony and a comfortable lounge area for quiet relaxation.
Couples can enjoy a luxurious private queen size bedroom with a spacious and bright en-suite, walk in robes and ceiling fan. Linen and towels are provided and housekeeping is available upon request.
