Cancellation and Refund Policy
Please note, before purchasing lessons, they need to be paid in full at the time of booking. Once paid for, lessons are non refundable. However, lesson credits may be transferable to a store credit and will be decided on each individuals situation.
Cancelling your Booking
If you need to cancel your booking, please call Patty 0420819881 between the hours of 7 AM to 7 PM.
If nobody answers the phone please just leave a message and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Lesson Cancellation refund
We will endeavor to fill your lesson spot in the case of you cancelling your lesson. If we are able to fill your spot you will receive a credit for the lesson you have booked.
If we are unable to fill your spot, you will receive a credit based on the amount below to be used on the website (for lessons or gear purchase) which is valid for 12 months. Otherwise the following penalties apply.
Less than 3 hours – 100% of booking is lost
Less than 6 hours – 50% of booking is lost
Less than 12 hours - 25% of booking is lost
More than 12 hours – 100% refund is given in credits.
Group Lessons - If one person cancels their group booking and the lesson goes ahead they loose 100% of their booking. Otherwise it is the as stated above.
COVID -19 related border closures/sickness – 100% refund (minus any booking agent/merchant fees) is either given to client or can be kept as credit.
All lesson credits in the system will be held for three years after purchase date after which they will become invalid.
If you would like to transfer your credits to somebody else then please just give us a call to discuss.
Our cancellation policy
Smile Kite Surf and it’s members reserve the right to cancel and fully re-credit lessons at anytime due to:
Poor wind
Poor weather conditions
Unseen mechanical or equipment problems
Too strong/dangerous wind conditions
If it is decided the student is not of able body due to intoxication in which case there will be no refund. So take it easy the night before!
The Instructor/Operation Manager/Skipper has the final call.
Finally for the safety of all those on board or the beach, if the conditions are unsafe we do not carry out our lessons. This may include halting a lesson or activity to allow people to enjoy whichever location we happen to be visiting.
