Cancellation & Refund Policy

Please note: All lessons must be paid in full at the time of booking. Once purchased, lessons are non-refundable. In certain circumstances, lesson credits may be transferred to a store credit at our discretion and will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Cancelling your Booking

If you need to cancel your booking, please call Patty  0420819881 between 7 AM to 7 PM.

If your call isn’t answered, please leave a message and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

Lesson Cancellation refund

We will endeavour to fill your lesson spot if you need to cancel. If we are able to fill your spot, you will receive a full lesson credit for the lesson booked.

If we are unable to fill your spot, you will receive a partial credit based on the notice given, as outlined below. Credits can be used on our website for lessons or gear purchases and are valid for 12 months, unless otherwise stated.

Cancellation notice & credits:

  • Less than 3 hours’ notice: 100% of the booking is forfeited

  • Less than 6 hours’ notice: 50% of the booking is forfeited

  • Less than 12 hours’ notice: 25% of the booking is forfeited

  • More than 12 hours’ notice: 100% credit issued

Group Lessons:
If one participant cancels and the group lesson still goes ahead, the cancelling participant forfeits 100% of their booking. If the lesson does not go ahead, the above cancellation policy applies.

COVID-19 related border closures or sickness:
A 100% refund (minus any booking agent or merchant fees) will be issued, or alternatively can be held as a credit at the client’s request.

Lesson Credits:
All lesson credits will remain valid in our system for three (3) years from the purchase date, after which they will expire.

Transfer of Credits:
Lesson credits may be transferred to another person. Please contact us to discuss this option.

Our cancellation policy

Smile Kitesurf and its members reserve the right to cancel and fully re-credit lessons at anytime due to:

  • Poor wind

  • Poor weather conditions

  • Unseen mechanical or equipment problems

  • Too strong/dangerous wind conditions

  • If it is decided the student is not of able body due to intoxication in which case there will be no refund. So take it easy the night before!

The Instructor has the final call.

Finally for the safety of all those on board or the beach, if the conditions are unsafe we do not carry out our lessons. This may include halting a lesson or activity to allow people to enjoy whichever location we happen to be visiting.
